Marbling is an art form where you can learn fundamental methods while developing your own style. We learn the synergies between viscosity and surface tension. We adapt to our surroundings, the humidity and the temperature of the room. We quickly perceive the hard and fast rules and also learn when to break them.

In this course, we will learn the patterns to build upon and how to layer other patterns to make more complex, elaborate designs. Along with video segments on making your own tools, mixing the marbling solutions, preparing the paper and paints, we also will be going over eleven essential patterns. Three advanced techniques have also been added including Over-Marbling (also called Ghost Marbling), Spanish Wave and Textile Marbling. Pattern diagrams, Supplies and Resources list, FAQ and Troubleshooting, Recipes for marbling solutions and more included in the Course Materials section. Let's fling some paint around and make something pretty!
