The Booksmith Traveling Journal Kit

A Comprehensive Guide to Building the Original Booksmith Traveling Journal Kit!

Welcome to the online school of Booksmithing! This kit may look like an unassuming junk journal from the outside, but inside you will find a place to house extra ephemera, loose pages, photographs, textiles, trims, writing utensils, charms, adhesives and more!

A generous pocket graces the inside cover, followed by a removable, junk journal style notebook ready to decorate and on the inside of the back cover, a wooden, lidded box with many compartments to stash your tools of the trade!

In this course, we will be building the entire project from scratch. We begin with the main book cover construction, followed by the 3 interior elements (front pocket, notebook w/binding the pages and finally the wooden art box). Although this is an advanced class, if you have taken any of my book making course before, you may find some elements easier to make as I take some tried and true techniques that I have developed over the years and build on those to adapt them for use as a kit instead of a book.

There are no out-of-the-ordinary supplies to purchase, unless you want to! Most supply items are probably something you already have in your stash if you are a crafter/bookmaker. Please see the info video for more information and feel free to contact me anytime with any questions before purchase. If you do not know how to use an online school like Teachable, I have a free course about Embellishing on my courses page. By enrolling in that course, you can get familiar with the website and how a class is presented, at no cost to you! A huge thank you to all!

*The legal stuff I have to say ;) ....
